Torn down, stripped of brown paint, sanded, washed and mineral spirited. Ready for primer and paint.

Bench Project: stage 3

primed and basecoated but too heavy to reassemble by myself. next step: layout. might vary slightly from the original design, i want to make sure the key components mesh with the slats and retain the important details.

Crab Sculptures

working on a series of crab themed shadow boxes for artswalk. All paper sculpture. funny simple shapes. Hopefully will be good.

Gold Leaf Guilding

fake gold leaf added to this drawing. Add some value with metal. I totally effed it up though when I sprayed a varnish on it and dulled the metal. Would this happen with real gold? Was it the temperature? The varnish? who knows. I'm going to hit it with the mineral spirits to try to bring back the luster. Might be a lost cause.

After that third goat, he's looking a little more cautious.

Capital Theater Project

sketch: chandelier in capital theater. Working on making a few line drawings of the Capital Theater for a coloring book that will be used as a fund raiser. Should be fun, so many great elements.

Mackerel Sky in color

A color version of my grey scale wash drawing I did for 26 feet of art. meh, I personally think the greyscale gives more drama and loneliness. I also need to work on that hillside a little more.

Working on my 26 feet of art project for the Washington Center of the Performing Arts. Wish I'd given more thought to the bird shape, but interested in the color of the leaves.
